Network conflict

Hi guys. I've just unlocked my pearl 8100. I had at&t and then i switched to t-mobile. The phone works once in a while but when I lose a signal, my phone searches for the at&t network and I get a SOS error and i have to take the battery out and put it back in and wait. I've went to the mobile network settings and delted all the at&t networks from my preferred network list and set the detection method to manual. But i'm still getting SOS errors and when i go back to the mobile network settings it is back at at&t. How do i keep this from happening? I've already reset my blackberry, hard and soft, but the only thing that fix was showing my number in the phone screen.

Thanks in advance.

i would have suggested keeping mobile netowrk for manual selection. also what is the coverage for t-mobile in that are suppose to be. if you aren't sure go to t-mobile's site and click on check your coverage

thanks for the reply jonnyxedge.

According to the personal coverage check on tmobile's website i should have 3 bars at my house. It's pretty accuarte since i have 3 bars right now. But the SOS error still happens and sometimes my phone rejects my sim card altogether, even though it is brand new.(i've only had it for 3 days).

Is there anyway i can delete all the factory settings set by at&t. I'm pretty sure this is nothing more than a software thing. I want to wipe out at&t's software and install tmobile's, if that is at all possible.
