Net book or Notebook ??? Which should i buy?

My use for a portable computing device doesn't exceed Web surfing , Social networking ,Reading papers and checking references online and using power point and word for lectures...and yeah i want to take it every where with me...
which is better and why
and if it is a notebook which one do you recommend for me
and if it is a net book which one do you recommend for me??
