Okay, So I was on 10 MG of Lexapro and my doc switched me to 10 mg of celexa because my insurance did not cover lexapro. I was not sure if she expects me to take 2 tabs of celexa (Because from what I am hearing the 20 mg is equivalent to 10 mg lexapro) or should I stick to the 10 Mg? Or would that be like lessening my dosage? I couldnt ask because He just sent the script to the pharmacy. I dont know if he intended on lowering my dosage, made a mistake, or expects me to know that I need a higher dosage of this to equal lexapro or what? I am confused and need help. I am going to call them toda when their office opens, but in the mean time its nice to hear what others have to say.

10mgs of celexa is considered "low dose"

standard dosage of celexa is 20mgs, high dose is 40mgs.

hope this helps!

thanks well i am finally on 20 mg of celexa. i think i have been getting withdrawl symptoms of the lexapro though. i have these weird brain squeezes especially near my temple and around my head, my head feels heavy, and i feel nurabness in my hanRAB at times. im also getting this weird sensation in my throat which causes me to cough. this sucks and i hope it gets better soon because i am not feeling well.
