Nerve Problem?

Hey all, ive had this problem for a few days now, the right side of my face, from my tooth up to my right ear, it feels like a prickly, tingly feeling in the area of my bottom tooth going up to my right ear, my right ear has been very sensitive to music even when not played at a loud volume and feels like its ''blocked'' and sometimes aches when I turn up the music. It feel like it might be a nerve problem or something but I have no idea, any thoughts?

If you still have your bottom wisdom tooth on that side it could be pinching the nerve.

Sinus and ear infections can cause similar problems but you'd know if you had a bad infection.

one other possibility is some level of actual ear infection,or imflammation that just created too much fluid in there too. i do think this is worth at least a trip to your primary to at least have him or her check out the basics in your head, like the ears, nose, throat areas? see what that brings up,which would also dictate any next steps to find out what is the root casue of your symptoms. but you have to start somewhere,ya know? hopefull this can be easily fixed for you,but you do need to find out the cause of the ongoing symptoms. are you running any level of even low grade fever? good luck and please keep us posted. Hey thanks for the replies, no I don't seem to have a fever but I can be quite prone to them... Ive had a ''nerve'' kind of problem with my right leg as well for around 2 and a half years, I usually just ignore it, its nothing MAJORLY bad just like a tingly prickly feeling. Weird that all this is happening on the right side of my body... I went to a loud club last night and it doesn't seem to have made my ear feel worse although it did start aching a bit when I was walking in the cold weather. I'm just worried that its permanent because it's quite annoying, I may go see a doctor about it if it doesn't go away...

one possible way to really check out both probelms at the very same time would be to have a full spinal MRI done from top to bottom. there are some c spine issues that can also affect the face just becasue some of those cranial nerves actually do run down into the c spine area then loop back up again into the head right at the c 8 nerve junction. so something "could' be affecting your c spine at least that could possibly explain the right side symptoms both in your upper and lower body areas(or it could also be two totally seperate issues, thats why testing needs to be done).

one other thing here is that from what you described,it does sound like the trigeminal nerve is affected in some way, this would give you symptoms from that tooth/jaw and on up to the ear area as well. i too have trigemial nerve affectation and had some pretty intense pain and other wierdness in the very same exact areas of the face that you described. just so you know one of those nerves that does run down into the c spine and back up IS that trigeminal.

you could also seek out an opinion from your dentist too. just to see whathe or she has to say about this. it does sound like this is actually somehow starting at that tooth level and radiating up to your ear in some way? or am i wrong there? you just really do need some diagnostic testing doe with this situation to really find out the underlying reaons for what you are experiencing, both inyour upper and lower body. please keep me posted.
