Neighbor&i swithed cars but not titles he ran off out of state with our car but

Not much you can do legally without something in writing. You could try writing to his old address and hope it gets forwarded.
 
we want to keep his what to do? We had agreed (not in writing) that we were going to swap cars- He said he needed our car to move so we agreed with him saying he would come back to give us his car title. We no longer want our old vehicle and we did not give him our title. We would like to keep his car and somehow get it in our name but he has no longer stayed in contact with us and we do not know where he moved to even get our old car back. What do we need to do? PLEASE HELP!
