Negative test - what to look for?

I've taken 2 tests since my period was late, Im now 4 days late and my periods only ususally last 4 days, I've had light cramping, back aches, head aches, and one tender breast.... what's going on?
Im kinda baffled that only one breast is tender.

Take the test again after a week for an accurate result.
