Negative physical effects after being in an airplane?

I flew home from a business trip today and I'm feeling rather off. When the pilot was making the descent to the airport, toward the end of the flight, the positive G's made me feel so weird that I swear I was going to black out. I had to close my eyes for a few minutes before I felt ok again. I'm not dizzy now but I feel like my head was going to explode.

I know that positive G's make you feel heavier, and that's what happened as he was making the descent. But that weird brain feeling I had like I was going to black out followed by kinda vertigo-ish feeling had me freaked out.

I'm still feeling rather stuffed in the head right now. My ears aren't plugged per se, but I feel so strange. I'm also very tired right now. Beyond tired, I think I need to head to bed.

Anyway, my question is - is there any reason for me to worry about long term effects of this strange episode I had on the plane? Or should I not worry now that I'm back on the ground? The problem is that I have to travel often for work and if this keeps happening....I may have to rethink my career choice. :(

Probably not a big deal. Commercial jets aren't capable of maneuvers that would produce enough g-forces to really mess with you.

There are pressure changes during takeoff and landing, though. If you have trouble with your sinuses or inner ear, airplanes can aggravate it. Try chewing gum during takeoff and landing next time.

Or, you could just be getting a cold.
