...my story and let me know!? Okay, this is what happened. I took a fiction writing class last year (Spring 2009 semester). I wrote a story for the class's workshop, and it offended a girl whom I had an affair with (but there was no direct reference to her in the story). Then, we had an argument through text messages on the phone, and she went to the cops and told them about what I said-- I called her "fake". Then, the cops called me and I was charged for verbal harassment. Then, I was required to talk to this person who's in charge with student affairs in one of the offices.

In that meeting, he talked to me, and he showed me a copy of that same story that I did for class. Apparently, the professor gave him a copy of my story without my permission. I was highly upset when I found out that she just gave that story to someone who's outside of class. I feel like my privacy was broken. Isn't that illegal? Could I take legal action against this? Or is it too late?
