I have just upgraded to a Tungsten T1 from a Vx. The guy who I bought hte unit from through Ebay has not sent me the software disc and I cannot get one anywhere. Can anyone please help me?

You can download the software here: http://www.palmone.com/us/support/downloads/windesk414.html

There are also a couple of Palm Vx updates on that site as well. Hope this helps.

Thanks for your suggestions.

I suppose what I need is a copy of the original disc which contains docs to go and other programmes.

Has anyone got this for the Tungsten T?

Would happily pay if someone could provide a copy to the UK

You can get a replacement CD directly from Palm by calling them and providing the serial number. If the unit was previously registered, they'll want the registered user's name so I hope you got that as part of the transaction. If the unit wasn't previously registered, you can register it in your name. The cost is about $10 US and is done to both help prevent stolen units from being sold and to protect the copyrighted software that's on the original disk.

I have no idea what proportion of units offered on e-bay are stolen but certainly some percentage are. I would be very wary of buying a unit from someone who didn't have the CD. He could either just be sloppy and disorganized, which means he probably didn't take very good care of his Palm, or you could be buying a stolen unit.

My Tungsten just says T on it. Is it any different from a T1 or T2? I am also looking for an instalation disc. I purchased my unit from my SIL's co- worker who won it at a convention, but he can't find the disc either. I have lots of questions on the use of the unit, and hope that the disc will answer them for me. Also, is there another forum for discussions on problems and fixes?

I was under the impression that the Tungsten T and Tungsten T1 are the same model, and that T1 is used to differentiate between the original Tungsten and the T2 and T3

Andy7733 and donster are correct--"T" and "T1" are the same device. I think people use the "T1" designation sometimes to mean specifically the T instead of the "T series."

Ooops - my mistake. The "official" Palm model is the Tungsten T but T1 is popularly used to differentiate the T from the T2 and T3.

does anyone have the number for palm uk. I still haven't managed to find a software disc for my Tungsten T and am keen to get docs to go etc.
