I am considering buying a jeep wrangler and need to talk to a Jeep owner so I will know what to look for and what to avoid.

any advise you can give will be appreciated.
I am considering a 4 cyl 5 speed jeep wrangler.
do not know the diff between a CJ TJ YJ etc.
can you help?

I had a 1995 YJ Jeep Wrangler for 2 years. I absolutely loved it. It was an awesome vehicle for summer fun and four wheeling. It was a 4 cylinder though and I absoulutely DREADED taking it on the freeway or any distances. It only got about 14 MPG, but it had large tires on it and a two inch lift. They only get 17 without the extras.. It was a soft top so it was very noisy on the freeway... After about a year I spent around 600 dollars and got a more expensive top that was supposed to be quieter, but it only made a minimal difference. The 4 Cylinders are also horribly slow. I didn't think I would mind because I am not a fast driver what so ever, but eventually only being able to go 55 on certain areas of the freeway starts to get irritating. I just sold it a month ago to buy a Dodge just for those reasons. I think anyone would love a Jeep, but try to avoid the 4 cylinders!
