Need to gain muscle mass on legs, with stationary bike, how do I do it?

I'm a guy, 14 years, 108 pounds, 5foot 8in, skinny as hell.

just lifting up my shirt will show a bunch of ribs, kinda nasty actually.

We have a bike machine, and I wanna do cross country for the school year so I thought it would be good to start training over the summer. I also wanna gain so muscles since i look like a stick when i run.

It there a good stationary bike work out that makes you gain muscles mass/size?

please help
I need to use the bike, so yea i insist on that, I can use a jump rope too, if tht helps!
