need to add a php file to my site but have no idea how?

i have a php file on my computer for a webchat that i need added to my site so ppl can use the chat but i have no idea how to add it and if i need any oprograms plz let me know if possible plz be as detailed as possible i have the websites ip address and stuff

(my secondary site id rather use if i dont have to download anything is webs.com but i dont know if they let you use php and how to)
my frist site i know allows php but i dont know how to do it
 
If your web hosting service supports PHP, then you should just treat it as a regular 'ol HTML file. If your web hosting service does NOT support PHP, then you're probably screwed.
