Need suggestions for "decade"-themed dance.?

So apparently my wardrobe is the only one in the universe that isn't stocked with clothes from decades ago... I need some suggestions for a costume for a "decades dance" (as in, dress like the 40s, 60s, etc.), especially if it could be from clothes I already have / could go out and buy for cheap. I don't really have any preferences... Btw, I'm male, 16, and have medium-ish length hair.

jeans, and a white t-shirt, leather jacket, and you could be like one of the characters from the outsiders (by s.e. hinton) you should probably check out the book cover for a hairstyle you could replicate- but even if you don't, as long as you have lot's of gel, you will be fine
