Need suggestions for Current Issues paper topic. Interesting current issues?

Any current issue would be good. Have you heard about anything that you think is interesting? Must be CURRENT. Like, the war in Iraq isn't too current, and to me it's really boring. ANY suggestions would be GREAT. Thaaaanks!
 
Off the top of my head, mind you - how about the current financial armageddon or is that so 5 minutes agao :-)
