I have a 1993 Chevy V6, not yet ready to give up on it,but, I have to pump the pedal a lot to get it started. Once it starts the engine surges and dies, surges and dies. I have to stay with it and pump the accelerator until it finally stays running. But if I jump out to open the front gate it will usually die again before I get back in it. It loses power going up our driveway. I usually have to take it out of gear and rev the engine before slapping it down into first gear to make it up the hill. I'll have to work the clutch and the gas together before I make it to the top. Any ideas?
