Well it's set in the 1940's. The main character is a young girl, but I'm not sure what age she should be.
A bit about the story: The MC has to write to a pen pal for a school project (not sure exactly what the project is yet). The letter never reaches the pen pal, a guy (late teens or early twenties) gets it and he replies. After a while of correspondence, the MC starts to have a crush on the guy. He never likes her though, and he doesn't notice that she likes him because she's too young for him anyway.
I don't know how old the girl should be, because if she were a teenager, then I don't think they'd be writing to pen pals in class, that's like something you do when you're in primary school. I thought about making her 12, but I think that may be too young. What do you think?
