It looks like you pretty much have it covered. You got yer Pantera, yer, Iron Maiden, yer Black Sabbath... Yep, it's all there. Already mentioned Metallica, so thats what I would have added.... If you want an interesting take on metal with a newer twist, try avenged sevenfold. I know it's a little different and they played on the warped tour, but I really think that they have their roots in the right spot. Good thundering guitar, too.
