Need phone with internal voicemail storage

Can anyone tell me if there is any phone with any provider that stores voicemails internally rather than having to call in and retrieve them ? I recently read about the I-phone and it apears you can go directly to any voicemail message by tapping your screen. I am assuming that this phone must store the messages internally ... right ? Suggestions for any phone with this feature would be appreciated .

Not sure of any phones that do this 'out of the box'.

However, S60 (Symbian) phones have the capability to run 3rd party applications (much how Windows 95, 2000, XP, etc. can run Adobe software). There are several 3rd party Symbian applications that do this exact voicemail feature. A couple allow you to either record to the phone memory or to an memory card.

Several manufacturers making Symbian phones include Nokia (the biggest Symbian supporter), Samsung, Sony Ericsson, Motorola and a few others.

For instance, the Nokia N73 (the phone I have) has ~3 applications for this, one being worked right now that will even be an IVR type system (press 1 for sales, press 2 for support....etc. type stuff).

Haven't started using one yet, but plan on testing some of it soon.

Check out allaboutsymbian.com for software as well as the S60 forums under the Smartphone/PDA section.

HTH.
