do anybody have an idea what to get with the following criteria?

candybar format
clean lines and a sturdy build
not to small keys with good tactile response
bluetooth
fast menu navigation and sms
reasonable standby/talk time
excellent reception/ voice quality
reasonable screen resolution ie. at least 8digits per line.
also an absolute must, it must be stable softwarewise, I cannot accept a phone that constantly resets.
nice to have but not necessary: mp3 sms/ringtones

off course what I really would like is something like the motophone with a real sms setup a real pixel display and a calendar + bluetooth.

my now very old Ericsson R320m archived everything but the fast and responsive menus/sms

err... K790 ?

btw: digits per line is not an indication of screen quality as different phones will display text at various sizes

and what is a "real pixel display" ?

SE W810i. Not too small, fast menus, easy to text on, excellent reception, excellent battery life.

You didn't mention what carrier this would be for.

P5010: K790 could be a contender although it seems to be a long shot from a simple phone?

by real pixels I mean a pixel based display in relation to the fixed character e-ink display of the motofone.

Heavy Fluid: W810i again it seems weird that one has to accept a mp3 oriented phone when one just want phone and calendar functions.

Quality of the outgoing call is exceptional on these phones?

Have you looked at the Nokia 6230i?

It runs S40, which is known to be pretty fast.
It has bluetooth, MP3 ringtones, is a candybar format (so nothing to get lose or break), SMS, and all the usual jazz.

You can probably get them brand new for less than $200 nowadays.

The W810i is not really mp3 oriented. Sure, it has a built in mp3 player, but it does other things also. Calendar, phone, calculator, flash light, camera, to do list, etc. It is packed full of functions. Oh yeah, it plays mp3's too.
