I got my first prolotherapy session today and I was surprised. It was alot less shots then I thought and alot less painful then I thought. A total of 8 shots in my sacroiliac joints and 4 total in both elbows. I've had lower back pain for 2 years and golfer's elbow for 3 years. I suspect the lower back/pelvis problems came from deadlifting weights It's been 12 hours now and boy am I sore. I can't imagine how sore I am going to be in the morning.

Anybody have success with LBP and prolotherapy? I am avoiding ice application and having hot baths to increase circulation but this makes it alot more sore and swollen. Is this ok? I see my pelvic specialist on friday, who works closey with my prolo doc, so I'm curious what he is going to do. Any thoughts what he will do?

I have had great success with prolo and sing its praises to anyone who will listen. :) It has enabled me to avoid surgery, which I had many misgivings about.

The soreness will abate with time. For me, it usually takes about 2 weeks with symptoms waning each day, but I've come not to mind the soreness as I now know healing is going on underneath the pain.

As you know, it's not good to take anti-inflammatories as the inflammation process is part of the healing, but tylenol is fine.

Wish you all the best with your Prolo,

Jen

Hi:) yea, the soreness was a really good soreness, didn't mind it at all. I'm not taking anything and never was either. How many shots you get? Where you get your shots and what you get them for? How did they help you? My prolo MD doc is confident I only need 4 treatments and should be cured, knock on wood.
