Need opinion about owning a pedal harp vs. a lever harp.?

I've been playing a 34 string lever harp for about 10 years now (just for personal enjoyment) and am ready for a larger harp. I could get a 40-string classic-style lever harp, like a Prelude, or I could go ahead and get a small pedal harp. The pedal harp would give me more versatility in some ways, but I'm a little concerned about the cost of upkeep (on top of the cost of buying the harp.) We are NOT near a major city where there is person who could regulate the harp, and I'm aware of the extra weight, more difficulty carrying it around, etc. I WOULD like to have the ability to more easily play certain music, however. Flipping levers gets old and I'm not particularly good at it.

I'd just like some educated opinions. It sounds kind of crazy because I know there are 6 year-olds that have the kind of pedal harp that I'm looking at. I just don't want something that's going to be a pain in the b***.
I appreciate your time & opinion, Katie. That's exactly the type of info that I'm needing to hear. :)
