I am a 29 year old female who has been dealing with a bulging disc at L5-S1 with sciatica for the past year. I have tried chiropractic spinal decompression, PT, medication (neurontin, tramadol, steroiRAB, pain relief patches), acupuncture and epidurals. I am still in pain.

I am starting to consider surgery, but would prefer to have a less invasive procedure done. I have done some reading on hydrodiscectomies, but there isn't too much out there.

Has anyone had one? If so, please share your experiences.

Many thanks!

Its similar to APLD, PLDD, Nucleoplasty coblation.

Good thing about hydrodiscectomy is that it does not include energy, so it could no do damage to your tissues inside disc.

Bad thing is that canula makes pretty big rupture in wall of your disc, so it can reherniate.
