Help!!
i am so sorry to jump on this thread when its not about me but so many people reply here so i thought i could get some good advice. i have been off ultram (tramadol) for a month. i had a slip 2 days ago and took 100mg sunday and monday. i have not slept more then 2 hours and i am sick as a dog. restless legs skin crawling, depression and i throw up every thing i put down. the anxiety got so bad that i left my PDOC a voice mail crying for him to send me some klonpin or a sleeping pill. the last 48 hours without sleep has made my thinking totally distorted. i just want my body to relax just calm down. i have also been tapering off sequiel (sp) for 6 moths so i really dont know ifits that or the ultram slip. i'm a addict and i live alone, so i really feel isolated with this. i think serquiel is so difficult to come off of but right now i dont know up from down and am willing to take any feed back or advice. i dont want to end up in the mental ward or er.

I'm so impressed at how smart you are about what you really need, and you know it's not the pills. At a young age, you're doing what I should have done. I wasn't addicted at your age, but I sure sampled everything that I could get and abused many substances. Because of health problems, I now find myself an addict at age 53. Wish I was as smart at your age.

Another thing you did that impresses me...you called your doc ahead of time and explained your situation, rather than wait til your next appointment, and maybe talk yourself into not telling your doc "just this one time." When I decided I had to quit, I called my prescribing doc, plus my PCP, even my dentist...just every doc I knew that I could possibly get narcotics from. I even went to my local ER and Convenient Care (where I had doc shopped) and had them put red flags in my files.

So...let me say that you're doing great, and keep it up. Reach's advice about not going back to square one was right on the nose, and I'm so happy you're smart enough to listen and know what's best for you.

Take care, keep updating.
