My grandfather bought a tombstone for my grandmother who passed away almost 2 years ago from a brain tumor. the place he got it from completely messed up. There is suppose to be a picture of my grandmother on the stone, they didn't make a copy of the picture to use, they just used the orginal so now we don't have the picture we wanted on the stone. they framed the picture in a plastic frame instead of a metal one, they put a door on the frame when we didnt want it. then they removed the door but left the hindges and cracks where the frame is pulling away from the stone. The worst part, the picture has completely faded. It was a color picture, and now it is a very faded pink. If you didn't know what the picture looked like, you would never know who it was. My grandfather, completey embarrused, took a pocket knife, and gently took the frame off the stone. They glued the frame to the stone!!! the glue was completely rotted. Now, i need to call the memorial place and... details coming
And tell them to fix it or give us our money back. But I have to be prepared to put this in the news if they refuse. I plan to put a story in newspapers and maybe on tv. It is too late to sue them (says my grandfathers lawyer) and the contract is written in pencil, not pen. Only the guy who sold the tombstone signed, my grandfather didnt. My grandfather was told not to sign but there was a place for the signature and a witness signature.
I need tips for writing an arcticle about this. I need it to be strong and get the point out there. I'm drawing a complete BLANK. Please help me.
yes, i was going to put in the local newspaper to get the word out. I dont want people taking advantage of the elderly when they are that weak, my grandfather just lost his wife, he doesnt speak alot of english. its wrong
