Im writing a coming of age story between two brother who deal with certain points in life differently, with the book free flowing between each.
Had an idea for names Freddie and Alfie, named after nicknames for there maternal grandfather Alfred.
There father isnt around and there mother is a sweet natured but flawed character leaving there grandfather to be the only positive out look on life. howver the elder, currently named Freddie is a violent, volatile and reckless animal. He has no remorse but is still a human being, not an actual sociopath. He just feels that violence is the only way for himself to gain an identity.
so basically want help with his name. Freddie and Alfie after Alfed where just there as a charcter builder really.
not happy with Freddie, I need a name that can be seen as warm and bubbly but also you could imagine being a name whos bearer has a violent reputation. Something like Ronnie, Ben, Charlie, Joe or Jack. something human. all suggestions welcome, even ones that agree with staying with Freddie
