Need help with VLC Media Player?

Im trying to rip a dvd =D but its not working...
I go to convert and save / Disc / (click) dvd and no dvd menus and all starting positions are at 0 and disc device is drive E: / convert and save / check File (for filename do i make a new name or choose a file location?) / I chose mpeg-4 divx / then hit save and nothing happens
help?
 
This problem might cause by the installation of the program is not completely install, so you can try to reinstall the VLC Media Player.
