I'm writing a novel and I need the UK equivalent titles for law enforcement officials -- from highest to lowest ranking officers and stuff.
If you have extensive knowledge on this, the better. Like, what 'department' or whatever would be in charge of a rape or murder scene?
And not just the law enforcement in London, please. I'd like law enforcement info from other areas of England, too, if there are any differences. Manchester and Alderley Edge, for example...?
