I recently installed a new laser lens unit on it after my last one got burned out playing a badly-burned backup. Here's the problem: I placed everything back and screwed back the Philips screw on the upper left point (the tray bezel was on top when it was laid down in case you're confused). No problems there. Proceeded to screw back the screw on the upper right point but it wasn't tightening. I though to myself "Oh s***" so I skipped that and tried tightening the screw on the lower left point. Same issue. The lower right portion screwed back on with no problems. I tried switching the screws but I can't get them any of them to tighten on the 2 points I mentioned earlier. Do you guys think I damaged the case itself and the metal won't accept the screws anymore or do I simply need to buy new screws from a hardware store? Furthermore, can anyone tell me the exact specifications of the screw size used in tightening the DVD drive?
I tried screwing the two points by starting from the top case instead of the bottom metal case and it tightened although the lower case doesn't come along which didn't surprise me considering that the metal drive case was designed to be screwed from the bottom. I haven't got new screws yet since the hardware shops I've gone to doesn't have them.
