...salary/wage.? Hi there,
I was a director of a limited company and my salary payment was below the tax allowance (ie. Total payment was about £4000 for the whole year). However the company still paid my PAYE and NI contributions in the first quarter.
I've received my P45 and it only mentions what I was paid and nothing about the tax (company has now winded down).
In my Tax Return form SA302:
- should I put in the tax paid amount in box two that the company paid in the first quarter
or
- can I just leave it blank as per my P45 and the HMRC will be able to notice on their system that they owe me a tax refund?
I just don't want to make a mistake with my form and have HMRC accusing me or something.
Thanks in advance,
Mark
