need help with strange periods?

ok for past 4 months they been heavy an i mean over heavy soaked me, made me vomit in the toliet for first few hours an extreamly bad horrible cramps all day. but this time i think iv'e come on and its light and brown not really red and i just got very mild cramps an im not really seeing much of a period i know im not pregnant because my partner has a medical problem which means he can not have children unless through IVF because he has mild CF and he has loads of tests to confirm this so what is going on? help me please xx
