I went and bought some LEDs and resistors and hooked them up to my home stereo. They worked for a while but i kept having to turn up the volume (thus increasing the power output to the LEDs) to get them to light up with the same intensity.
I have one 150-Ohm resistor (1/2 W) on the positive wire leading to all the positive sides of the LEDs. I then have a negative wire connecting all the negative sides of the LEDs. The LEDs are 350mcd, the current is 20ma, and the supply is 3.2V. Do i need to put a resistor before every single LED? or do i just need better LEDs and resistors?
Thanks
I don't know the forward voltage. Im using a home amplifier to power it. I put an individual LED in one speaker with its own resistor and its working great. Would it be using the 120V from the house or is it different?
