need help with my tmobile g1!?

Okay, here's the problem a while back i rooted my phone and all was fine then i decided to try to "unroot" my phone which i read that you can use the rc29 update and then wait fro the update to be sent OTA. well i decided to not wait and tried to manually update to rc33 1.6 firmware well after i reset/wiped my phone to put the rc33 1.6 i had absolutely NO SIGNAL just an X next to the bars so after i wiped it i was not able to get passed the google activation/sign in well i went driving around to see if i could get signal anywhere else and i went on the highway and was able to get a faint signal with edge and signed in.. but i used to have signal everywhere now i get it pretty much nowhere.. does any one have a solution for this? its really frustrating cause ive been trying all kinds of things and nothing seems to work. and i would try to root it again to see if that might set everything back to normal but that consists of having to wipe it and then i wont be able to to activate account. right now im using 1.1 firmware baseband version 62.33.20.08h_1.22.14.11 build number says kila-user 1.1 plat-rc33
