I love my toyota, but the last few days has been hell, and well, I just want to kick it, here's the problem:
it started to stumble/hesitate, run rough a month ago, boyfriend changed fuel filter and all kinds of crud came out, like rust/dirt;
ran better for about two weeks, took several long trips out of town, no problems;
last week my boyfriend took it out of town and came home the same day, next day drove it into town and check engine light came on and it began to stumble, hesitate, run rough again, he blew out the fuel filter, but still ran the same, changed plugs, wires, pcv valve and still no luck;
took it to mechanic who said one of the injectors was plugged- that's what the diagonsitc said, codes 300-305, which means there is a misfire somewhere, the mechanic could not quarantee that indeed it was the fuel injectors, but wants to charge us $550, at first I though there mightbe a exhaust leak since the muffler sounds much louder and there is water dripping out of the
out of the tail piipe, my boyfriend went to get new coil packs, since we want to try everything before spending the money on something we don't even know will fix the problem, any suggestions out there, also could there be a grounding problem somewhere?
I'm not taking it to the dealership! they overcharged me on the struts I had put on and I'm not taking another hit ei ther!
