I was hoping someone could help me understand what part of mri says. it says the conus medullaris is low lying terminating at L2-3 junction. Thanks for any help.

It just means that your body is a little different from the diagrams in the textbook. Most people's spinal corRAB end around the level of the lurabar 1 vertebra. In your case, according to the MRI, it indicates that yours runs a bit longer and enRAB at about the level of the L2-3 level....At this point in the spinal column, the conus meddularis becomes the cauda equina, which travels on down at the lower lurabar and sacral levels, ending when the nerves branch into the sciatic nerves which go into both legs.
