Need help with keeping up with daily nutrients

I'm 19 years old and I believe that my current meal plan doesn't provide me with the wide range of daily nutrients I should be consuming each day. Is there some type of multivitamin or supplement that this board could recommend to add to my diet without changing my meal plan?
If you do recommend one, what nutrients would I still be missing?
Is it considered a medication?
 
Because vitamins are synthetic, it is better to get nutrients from food.

The DASH diet is a balanced diet, give it a try.

Best to not eat fast food, etc. Eat good nutritional foods. Do not eleminate groups of food unless you have a medical reason to do so.

Normal portions of healthy food will provide all the nutrients your body needs.

Many doctors consider taking viatmins as making expensive urine. I have been reading lately the trend is going away from vitamins and to good nutritional food for nutrients our bodies need.
