Need help with hook in up subs an amp 2001 dodge neon?

I have 2 10's an a 300 watt comp amp i took these out my old car with all my wires i was running everything an i ran my power cable threw my door to my amp an i hook up ever thing an my amp didn't come on so i thought it was my ground so i made a better ground an still nothing so i tighten up my battery cable an ever thing an still nothing so i took power from my remote wire ( i had another ground) an stuck it in the battery port an one in the remote port an the amp came on so i went today to the sound store an i told them about it an they said i have pinched wire do anybody no how to fix that or give me any tips
