need help with emotional eating?

so for years i have been overeating emotionally to solve my problems but did not realize it was emotional eating untill recently, i am obese but am 14 and can change that. I want to change more than anything and need tips. Also i need tips because i live with my mom and she is overweight when she graduated high school, she was 300 lbs, she has lost weight since then, now she is like 240 30 years later, my mom always buys crappy unhealthy food likle chips bread etc and hides it in her room when she is obese as well, i try to ask her to buy healthy food cause i want to lose weight and whenever she does its crap that was on sale because it is set to expire because my mom is cheap and i sometimes ask her to save some money so i can buy my own food and she says stuff like when you get a job, you can buy your own food. what do i do, what should i do to stop emotionally eating, can you say some stuff that i can do, i would really appreciate it
