Here is the question:
The sounds of dog barking and throat singing are performed by peoples whose lives are close to nature and reflect an intimate interaction with the environment. These recordings are considered music because they convey meaning, feeling and images. People in the culture understand and value these sounds.
Would you agree that the sound of an automobile engine and the rhythm of traffic on the busy highways are Music in Silicon Valley?
