For my omnibus IV class, we're reading the Iliad and on monday we're going to start a debate. The debate is between Homer and Heroditus' viewpoints on where Helen was during the battle at Troy. My team is debating Heroditus' viewpoint that Helen was in egypt during the battle and the opposing team is arguing Homer's point, who, of course believes that Helen was in Troy during the fight. So, my question is this: Can anyone explain Heroditus' viewpoint further? Are there any places i can go to get more information on this topic besides Wikipedia? we read heroditus in omnibus 1 but i no longer have the book to research the topic. I only have until monday. thanks guys
