I’m looking to buy my first motorcycle. I’m going to buy used and I’ve seen a few ads for bikes from private sellers. I’m looking at shadows, v-stars, ect… When I go to check these bikes out what kind of things should I be looking for? I haven’t ridden in about 10 years and those were dirt bikes. I’m looking at cruisers now and just don’t want to be stuck with a lemon or a beat up shiny POS. Any tips or mechanical info I should be on the look out please send my way. (what to look for on a chain, whether I should be worried about a clutch cable, gear selector) I can look at a bike and go “looks nice!” but I want to be able to shop with confidence and know what I’m looking for when it comes to mechanical defects ya know. I’m relatively mechanically inclined I just need to be told where to look I guess. Well again any opinion is a good one and I thank you for your help.
