You are made mostly of hydrogen, oxygen, and carbon with traces of stuff like calcium, zinc, iron, and other elements. If, when the Universe began, there was only hydrogen and helium (which is the scientific picture), where did the rest of you come from? Explain HOW and WHERE elements OTHER than hydrogen and helium are PRODUCED and HOW these other elements, referred to as "metals", have become part of the gas and dust that form new stars. (There are TWO MECHANISMS for how these elements are put into interstellar space).
