I really suck at introductions for a paper, its a career paper, and I have to list what I'm going to discuss in the paper, and what I'll discuss is, the general description of photography, the hours of it, the pay, ETC.
Start with an attention getter and then move on to your thesis. For example:
I stared out at the moonlight reflecting on the water. I lifted my camera to my eye and began to explore the different perspectives that I could capture. As I left the beach that night, I realized that I had found the one thing that I really enjoyed in my life. Many times people think photographers do not make enough money to live on, but this is not true. I want to be a photographer because I want a job that I love doing. Being a photographer is my dream job and it is a job that will allow me to support myself.
Then add a paragraph about the different types of photographing that you can do. Wedding, landscape, etc.
