If someone could give me a detailed explanation of how to do on of these problems it would be a big help! Can't find any examples in my math book!
A computer company is introducing a new line of computers.
For the FIRST year, the fixed cost for setting up the production line = $140,000.
The variable costs for producing each computer = $475.
The sales dept predicts that 375 comps can be sold during the first yr.
The revenue from each computer = $1100.
Find:
1. the total cost C(x) of producing x comps
2. the total revenue R(x) from the sale of x computers
3. the total profit P(x)
4. the profit or loss from the production and sale of 340 computers; then of 150 computers
5. the break-even point
