Me and my ex have just about finished our divorce. We went before the judge and filed uncontested and we were granted our divorce, it is pending waiting on our decree to filed with the court. The decree is filed and signed by myself my attorney and my ex. Her attorney is refusing to sign it due to her owing him money. Is this legal, ethical, or ok to do?
tried that also, lawyer cant be reached. I think they may be together on this. WE are having to file bankruptcy once the divorce is setteled and he is mad that he will be out his fees. My attorney is mostly pais up to current but he doesnt want to do any more work knowing i am filing bankruptcy.
