Need help with 91' Acura Legend?

For the past year this car has been leaking anti-freeze but only when I shut of the engine. I have taken it to two mechanics one replaced a hose the other replaced a cracked thermostat and radiator. It still leaks but not as bad. When I am in stop and go traffic, the car registers hot once I am out of traffic with my foot on the gas it goes back down. Took it back to the mechanic and he just stood there scratching his head. I know very little about cars. Can someone help?
Marty - At times I do here what sounds like the belt is slipping. Why would it cause this problem?
 
Check your water regularly. Sounds like your engine is running hot which gives me the impression that you may be running out of water given that you have a leak.

If you still have a little leak then it may be worth trying a bottle of radweld. follow the intsructions on the bottle.
 
possible belt slippage.
possible water pump.
certainly a piss-poor mechanic to scratch his head.
