I am creating an independent Sci Fi film in a years time and there is an alien life in the movie. I am pretty good with computers and such and a very fast learner. I can stand my ground on what 3D CGIs are but have no clue on the entire process of creating them from scratch to bringing them to life and then finally merging them into the life action film. Ive started doing my research and found that I'm going to need many applications. Such as content manipulation program, a content creation program and others. I will be using Final Cut Pro from Apple for my film editing. Also if I am doing my 3D CGI on windows can I then transfer it to my iMac to merge it with FCP? Please Please Give Me As Much Help As Possible. Also does anyone know a good forum website where I can get extra help on this. Thanks.
