Need help Unlocking my Ipod ?

My Apple iPOD doesn't want to unlock because i forgot the password And I tired multiple times to unlock until eventually it said iPod disabled please connect to iTunes but my iTunes got messed up so I downloaded a new one but now my itunes says IPOd not recognized please unlock but I can't someone Please help! My iPod is 3generation
