I have been experiencing pain in my low back since Deceraber 2008. The pain will be aggravated during exertion and prolong standing and sitting. Also I have problems sleeping as my back hurts whenever I'm laying on my back. I also experienced random nurabness in my legs frequently.

L1/2 disc is slightly dessicated. Normal signal intensity of the vertebral marrow. Vertebral alignment is maintained.

L4/5, there is a disc bulge, and together with mild facet joint hypertrophy, results in mild narrowing of the lateral recesses. No significant central canal or neural foraminal compromise.

L5/S1, there is a right L5 and S1 conjoined nerve root.

No significant central canal or neural foraminal compromise at the other lurabar levels.

It sounRAB like your symptoms match your MRI results. You have a narrowing of the spinal column which means that the nerves are being compressed which is resulting in the neuropathy pain in your legs.

I know that sitting and standing for long times does bother me alot. I find that leaning over a shopping cart actually brings me alot of relief.

I suspect if you have not already had epidural injections they will request that you undergo 3 and undergo a course of physical therapy to strengthen your core muscles.

In the meantime, I would try heat alternating with ice, a tens unit, boiling in a spa if you have access to one, and maybe some motrin/advil to reduce the inflammation.

Good luck.
