hey guys i have a 1997 Pontiac sunfire 2.2L and it wont start. the motor and transmission where both replaced between 3 and 4 years ago so i know they are still good. i took the starter, alternator and battery to auto zone and all passed. i have a full tank of gas but its been mostly parked for the past 6 months, with the occasional start and move twice a month. finally got the cash to pay off some tickets the tags and insurance and it drove just fine for a day but just died on me the second day. the a/c, stereo, lights and wipers all work when put in the on position but will not turn/crank the motor, nothing not even a click. i tried shorting the starter by touching the solenoid switch bolt with the starter motor bolt with a screw driver and got sparks but it still would not start. i had a mechanic tell me before that the ignition had been tampered with before but it never really gave me a problem. i don't have the cash to take it in to a shop so any help would greatly appreciated.
need help troubleshooting my cars no start problem...?
