I want to practice some short sprints (10 yards) and time them to see improvement and for motivation. However my problem is with such a short distance, times are separated by hundredths of a second so having someone click a stop watch is no good. I was thinking along the lines of having some sort of big button thats connected to the stopwatch which I could press to start, run 10 yards forward and back and press the button to stop (with a palm) which would be accurate in showing improvement in times. My question is does such a device exist? Or is there some other alternative that will let me measure short sprints accurately without resorting to those high tech gates that cost hundreds of dollars.
